CMP
South Carolina's premier road course offers 2.3 miles of technical challenges with 14 turns ranging from hairpins to sweeping corners. Built on former airfield land, CMP features varying elevations, a challenging carousel, and multiple configurations. Its balanced layout tests braking, acceleration, and cornering skills, making it excellent for both racing and driver development.
CTMP
Formerly Mosport, this historic circuit hosted F1 races in the 1960s-70s. The 2.459-mile track features 10 corners and significant elevation changes, with blindingly fast sections that average over 110 mph. Located in Ontario, it remains one of North America's most challenging tracks, demanding total commitment through its flowing sequence of corners.
Daytona International Speedway
Daytona International Speedway is a world-renowned motorsports facility located in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is famous for hosting the prestigious Daytona 500, a key event in the NASCAR Cup Series. The track spans 2.5 miles and features a unique tri-oval design that challenges drivers and excites fans.
Lime Rock Park
Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Mountains of Connecticut, Lime Rock is a compact 1.5-mile circuit that packs seven challenging corners into a fast, flowing layout with significant elevation changes. Despite its short length, Lime Rock's natural terrain setting creates a technically demanding circuit where the uphill, off-camber West Bend and the fast, downhill final turn challenge even the most experienced drivers. The track's park-like setting, lack of long straights, and continuous rhythm make it one of the most distinctive and pure driver's circuits in America.
Mid OhioSports Car Course
This technical 2.4-mile track near Lexington, Ohio combines 13 turns with subtle elevation changes and multiple racing lines. Famous for its challenging carousel, "Madness" section, and the tricky "Thunder Valley" downhill complex, Mid-Ohio rewards precise car setup and smooth driving. Its park-like setting and natural terrain create a classic road racing experience.
NJMP
Featuring two distinct circuits—Thunderbolt (2.25 miles) and Lightning (1.9 miles)—this modern facility offers technical challenges for all skill levels. Located in Millville, both tracks combine fast straights with technical sections and elevation changes. The Thunderbolt's sweeping carousel and Lightning's technical infield provide diverse driving experiences in a single venue.
Road America
Nestled in Wisconsin's scenic Kettle Moraine, this legendary 4-mile road course offers the perfect balance of long straights and technical sections across its 14 corners. Known as "America's National Park of Speed," the track's elevation changes, carousel turns, and the challenging Kink make it a driver favorite. Its parklike setting belies the intense challenges it presents.
Road Atlanta
Set in Georgia's rolling hills, this fast 2.54-mile circuit demands precision with its dramatic 120-foot elevation changes and technical esses. Home to the prestigious Petit Le Mans endurance race, Road Atlanta's 12 challenging corners include the heart-stopping downhill approach to Turn 12. The track rewards brave driving while punishing the smallest mistakes.
Sebring International
Built on a former WWII airfield, Sebring's 3.74-mile circuit is famous for its brutal, bumpy concrete surfaces that mercilessly test both car and driver endurance. Home to the prestigious 12 Hours of Sebring, this historic Florida track features 17 turns of varying character, including the challenging Sunset Bend and the technical Tower Turn complex. Despite its flat topography, Sebring's unique surface transitions, technical corners, and rich racing heritage make it one of the most demanding and respected circuits in motorsport.
Summit Point Motorsports Park
Located in West Virginia, Summit Point's 2.0-mile main circuit offers a perfect blend of technical corners and straightaways across gently rolling terrain. The track features 10 challenging turns, including the fast, downhill carousel at Turn 3 and the technical uphill esses sequence. Summit Point's accessible layout makes it ideal for driver development while still providing enough complexity to challenge experienced racers.
VIR
Described by Paul Newman as "heaven on earth," VIR is a 3.27-mile natural terrain road course featuring 17 turns and 130 feet of elevation change across its rolling Virginia countryside setting. The track's technical "Climbing Esses" sequence demands perfect rhythm, while the infamous "Oak Tree" turn leads to one of the longest straightaways in American road racing. VIR's combination of high-speed sections, technical corners, and significant elevation changes makes it one of the most complete driver's circuits in North America.
Watkins Glen International
This iconic road course in upstate New York features 3.4 miles of challenging elevation changes, high-speed straights, and technical sections including the famous "Boot." With a rich racing heritage dating back to 1956, The Glen hosts major events including NASCAR and IMSA series. Its combination of fast sweepers and technical corners tests both car and driver.
